Elina Svitolina will win

Yulia Putintseva – Elina Svitolina Match Prediction | 12-09-2019 22:00

Jim: Most of Putintsevas success so far in her career has come on clay, but she showed in stunning world #2 Naomi Osaka in the first round that she can handle herself on a grass court as well. But its one Putintseva should be able to pass. Golubic, meanwhile, played very well to best the young gun Iga Swiatek in straight sets and should offer the Kazakh a real challenge in this one.

Schoofs has struggled in recent years and is currently ranked just outside the worlds top 150. That loss in the first round of the US Open means that Zheng will be fresh and ready for a deep run at the Zhengzhou Open. Zheng is currently ranked 38 in the world but her most recent match was a 1-6, 0-6 drubbing at the hands of Venus Williams. Bibiane Schoofs and Saisai Zheng have played three times, once in 2012 and twice in 2018. Schoofs won their first meeting, on grass at Wimbledon, but their two most recent contests went to Zheng, both in straight sets.

It was a very convincing performance by Putintseva as she impressed with her serving. Yulia Putintseva won her previous match in straight sets as she beat Belinda Bencic from Switzerland. During the win, Yulia Putintseva won 66% of her service points which resulted in her winning 90% of her service games. This will be a much tougher match for Yulia Putintseva since Sevastova is a much higher ranked opponent.

Naomi Osaka vs Yulia Putintseva Statistics

Despite winning the first set in seven games, Osaka just doesnt look comfortable or confident out there. Putintseva is more than capable of winning this match if Osaka continues to play below what shes capable of and pile up the unforced errors. With that said, a hard fought win can do wonders for a player and maybe her first round victory was what she needed to get out of this funk.

But the Swiss serve is a definite weakness and Putintseva will be well aware of how to capitalize. After bouncing the #2 seed, this match should be easy for the Kazakh. Tracey: Golubics exceptional return of serve allowed her to claim 100% of her break point opportunities. It seems that Putintseva is a sharp strategist with a keen understanding of how to break down her opponents deficits.

In 2015 the two played another epic at the French Open where Svitolina eked out victory at 9-7 in the third set. Their two most recent meetings in 2015 and 2016 were simple straight sets wins for Svitolina and, provided she is not too fatigued from her run at the US Open, there is no reason to expect anything different in Zhengzhou. The pair have played five times before, with Svitolina winning all but one of those encounters. Fresh from the US Open semifinals, Elina Svitolina will have a stern test against Yulia Putintseva. That loss was their first match, a three set epic contested seven years ago in Dubai.

But Watson typically excels playing in front of the Wimbledon crowd and has a game well-suited to grass. Kontaveit, meanwhile, didnt look entirely convincing in battling past Shelby Rogers. Jim: Watsons first-round victory over the American teenager Caty McNally was impressive, but she will face a serious step up in quality against the Estonian Kontaveit, seeded 20th. A famous win for Watson might just be on the cards then.

There might be a newer match between Naomi Osaka vs Yulia Putintseva.

Yet, Rybarikova played a stellar match, yielding only six games. And, that may be her only challenge dealing with the media exposure and growing expectations. Rybarikovas upset of the 10th seed was completely overshadowed by Gauffs unlikely success. The teenagers victory send shock waves worldwide. Tracey: Gauff turned in a stellar performance against veteran Williams. It was a commanding win where Gauff used measured rally balls until she found the opening for a surgical strike to the corners. Just 15-years-old, Gauff played with a composure belying her age. Im afraid Rybarikova will be overshadowed once again by the teen. Hard to pick against Gauff.

In the victory, Osaka won 75 percent of her first serve points and 50 percent of her second serve points. Osaka won 64 percent of her total service points and converted on five of her nine break points. Osaka looks to win at least two matches for the fifth straight tournament. Osaka got 55 percent of her first serves in play and saved nine of her 11 break points. Osaka has won seven of her last 10 matches on grass court. Osaka has now won five of her last six matches that have gone the distance. It wasnt a perfect performance from Osaka, but she was able to dig deep and find a way to grind out a third set. Naomi Osaka is coming off a three sets win over Maria Sakkari that took 26 games to decide.

Putintseva has split her last four matches on grass court. Putintseva won 64 percent of her total service points and converted on four of her eight break points. Yulia Putintseva is coming off a straight sets win over Harriet Dart that took 17 games to decide. In the victory, Putintseva won 68 percent of her first serve points and 58 percent of her second serve points. Putintseva got 68 percent of her first serves in play and only faced two break points in a win that took nearly an hour and a half to complete. Putintseva has six career wins over top-10 players, with one of those wins coming this year. Putintseva looks to win two matches for the third time in her last five tournaments.
