Our Prediction:

Seattle Mariners will win

Chicago White Sox – Seattle Mariners Match Prediction | 16-09-2019 16:10

We are getting the Mariners at even money right now, going up against an up and down White Sox team that are still trying to find their footing. Give me Seattle to win the set on Sunday. Seattle has been tearing the cover off of the ball in the early going, and until the hot hand cools off, I see no point in jumping off of the train now. So I figured, why not try one more time on Sunday. I called it yesterday that I had a feeling that Seattle was more likely to carry over offensively and Giolito was more likely to have a blowup start.

The Mariners pitchers as a team have surrendered 1,387 base knocks and 754 earned runs this season. They have given up 248 home runs this year, which ranks 2nd in Major League Baseball. Their relievers have struck out 611 batters and walked 271 opposing hitters. They give up a walk 3.2 times per 9 innings while they strike out 7.8 per 9. Their team WHIP is 1.42 while their FIP as a staff is 5.11. He has 22 strikeouts over the 22.1 innings he's pitched. They are 27th in the league in team earned run average at 5.19. The bullpen has an earned run average of 5.03 and they have given up 601 base hits on the year. With an earned run average of 4.43, Justus Sheffield has a 0-1 record and a 1.75 WHIP. He also has given up 27 hits. Teams are hitting .244 against the Mariners bullpen. Seattle as a staff has walked 464 hitters and struck out 1,137 batters. Seattle has a 60-88 overall mark this year. As a team, Seattle allows 9.5 hits per nine innings while striking out 7.8 batters per nine innings. He's allowing 10.9 hits per nine innings and his FIP stands at 4.87.

Tim Anderson now leads all of baseball in batting average

Expect Jimenez to start putting the ball over the fence shortly, but like most rookies, there are going to be some bumps in the road. All three hits were singles. Jimenez came into the game struggling, but this is a nice reminder that he's capable of doing damage with the hit tool; he's not just a power hitter. Eloy Jimenez went 3-for-4 in a loss to the Mariners on Saturday.

Overall, the Mariners are allowing a batting average of .268 and their batting squad is holding .239. The leading batsman with an average of .275 is Omar Narvaez, while the home runs and RBI leader is Daniel Vogelbach. Seattle Mariners are all set to start with Yusei Kikuchi as their leader on Friday. The left-handed pitcher is holding an ERA of 5.24 and is 6-9 on the season with 48 BBs and 110 Ks.

But I'll once more refer to Mallex Smith, who stole 40 bases last season with the Rays. He also led the American League with 10 triples (tied with Yolmer Sanchez) and got on base at a .367 clip. X-factor:Kikuchi is probably the obvious choice here. How he fares in 2019 won't be of quite as much interest as how Shohei Ohtani did last year, but the potential is still there for him to be a heck of an addition.

He's got five September homers and a .784 slugging percentage on the month. But what those critics arent focusing on is one of the most productive seasons of Abreus career. Thanks to a hot finish, it is higher than last years at the moment, but if the season ended today, it would be lower than the figures he posted during his first four seasons in the big leagues. Abreu has been criticized by certain segments of the fan base for the noticeable dip in his on-base percentage this season. And hes blasted past his career high in RBIs from that same season, up to 116, which leads the American League. He also homered Friday and is up to 33 bombs on the season, three off the career high he set as a rookie in 2014.

Beckham is also the leader in home runs with three and the leader in RBIs is Domingo Santana with 11. Yusei Kikuchi will be sent to the mound by the Mariners on Thursday. Tim Beckham has taken the lead for his team in batting with an average of .379 along with 11 hits. Kikuchi is 0-0 with an ERA of 2.53, 8 Ks and 1 BBs. Seattle Mariners are holding a batting average of .264 and opposing hitters are averaging at .231.

Primeira Liga

Ivan Nova will start game three and is 0-0 with a 1.29 ERA and 4 strikeouts this season. Eloy Jimenez went 3 for 4 as well while James McCann went 2 for 4 with a double. The Chicago White Sox will look to bounce back after being taken down in game two on Saturday. Tim Anderson and Jose Abreu accounted for all of the White Sox scoring with a solo home run respectively, with Anderson going 3 for 4 at the dish. In his career, Nova is 0-0 with a 3.94 ERA and 11 strikeouts against Seattle. Leury Garcia added a base hit as well to cap off Chicagos offense in the losing effort. Lucas Giolito gave up five runs on six hits while walking and whiffing four apiece over 4.1 innings of work, taking the loss to fall to 1-1 this season.

Overall, Seattle settled with a final score of 5-3. Cincinnati had Sonny Gray on the mound as their starter, but the Mariners managed to score runs with ease. Seattle Mariners are currently on a two-game winning streak and they are looking forward to extend their victory. The Mariners won against Cincinnati Reds with the help of Lyle Lewis on the plate.

The Mariners defeated the Angels with a finals score of 2-1 and it was their fourth straight victory. Seattle is coming off a great improvement to 7-1 after their victory against Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday. Dan Vogelback smashed a tie with a home run in the eighth inning and Marco Gonzales reached the mound on the ninth inning. Seattle Mariners will play against Chicago White Sox on the road as they open a four-game series on Thursday.
