Our Prediction:

Breaffy will win

Breaffy – Ballina Match Prediction | 21-09-2019 14:30

If youre stuck below in the doldrums like some of us, dont despair and instead get your predictions in for week 2. Beloware the Allianz Prediction League week 1 table standings. Its a Ballycroy representative leading the pack with Jack Deane racing into an early lead, but Padraig McHugh of Claremorris and Niamh Roche of Davitts are hot on his heels. We predict (see what we did there) that this will be a tightly fought contest all the way through.

Darren Coen, Fergal Boland and Diarmuid OConnor will be key players in the attack. Aidan OShea will likely partner Matthew Ruane in midfield. James Horans side beat New York in the Connacht quarter-final, before going on to lose to the newly crowned Connacht Champions, Roscommon. Mayo have good players all over the field, Brendan Harrison, Keith Higgins, Lee Keegan, and Paddy Durcan are all excellent footballers in defence. In saying that they only lost that game by a point but some of the football played was quite poor. Mayo have really disappointed me this season. A loss here and I can see a couple of retirements from the team. A better performance will be expected and a win, of course, this time around.

That incidentally was their first qualifier win in 5 years. They played Tipperary in the first round of the qualifiers at this venue where they won 1-13 to 1-10. Pat Havern who scored 0-03 against Tipperary is also a good footballer, while Donal OHare and Jerome Johnston will also be looking to come up with the scores. Down pushed Armagh all the way in Ulster only losing out by a point 2-17 to 3-13, things could have been a lot different if they won that game. Firstly looking at Down. In defence, they are very stable, they have players like Brendan McArdle, Darren OHagan and Kevin McKernan. Paddy Tally is a very good manager he knows what it takes to win and he will try everything to win this game for the Mourne County.

His father was Thomas Neary and his mother was Catherine Neary. He was married to Winifred Naughton Neary and the father of 12 children. Thank you. I believe that both Thomas and Catherine may have resided in Breaffy, near Ballina,County Mayo. Can you help me identify the maiden name and place of birth ofmy great-grandmotherCatherine Neary? Hello, my grandfather wsPatrick Neary (1890-1963) of Cloonagun, Breaffy, County Mayo.

Oh wow, Roger, this is amazing information. I recently had a DNA match with a Christine Joy Staunton on "23 and Me". : ) Thanks so much;you are awesome! I could not figure out the blood connection as it was predicted to be3rd grandparents. Christine'smother's maiden name is Dalton; a surname I did not recognize in my family....so you have now assisted Christineto better understandher connection to Mayo; surprised me to no end...and the Quinn mystery continues.

Howd you fair out this week? After the first round of the league, heres how the 2018 NFL predictions mini league table looks like.

Andy McEntee will look to players like Conor McGill, Donal Keogan and Padraic Harnan. In midfield, Bryan Menton and Shane McEntee will likely continue their partnership. Michael Newman, James Conlon, and Cillian OSullivan will be the main men in attack once more. They will need to rack up a big score here in my opinion if they are to overcome Mayo as well. Andy McEntees Meath pushed Donegal all the way but Donegal upped the ante in the final 10 minutes and brushed the Royals aside.

In defence, Mayo will need players like Keith Higgins, Lee Keegan, Chris Barrett and Donal Vaughan back to their best. Mayo will travel to Croke Park knowing nothing but a win will suffice if they are to have any ambitions of reaching a semi-final. James Horan will be looking for some of his experienced players to step up to the plate. Cillian OConnor, Darren Coen and Kevin McLoughlin will look to have big games in the attack. They were very poor against Kerry last weekend, they lacked a real leader and lacked the quality. Aidan OShea was virtually anonymous against Kerry so he will need to come into the game more also. David Clarke struggled with the kick-out at times so that will need to be improved here. Before that, though they had a good run in the qualifiers beating Down, Armagh and Galway. They were completely outplayed by the Kingdom.
